These inlaid soaps first came about as a studio experiment with end-of-day scrap pieces of soap which we embedded into white soap and sliced smooth. We then refined the look as they came to resemble the late Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata’s embedded concrete and terrazzo work.
Astral Shower is a fresh, airy scent, with hints of dew-picked greens and earth (terra, terrazzo- wink wink)
The glycerine soaps are made in small batches in the atelier of John and Linda in Portland Maine. They use a 100% pure vegetable base. With a passion for vivid colors, simple graphics, 1970s style, quirky objects and eclectic interiors.
No parabens, no phthalates, no sodium laurel sulfate, no animal testing, no detergents, and no alcohol.
