This Santa Cole 'Nagoya' pendant light sets the tone with its particular use of poplar wood in splints, which creates a subtle & aesthetic effect that reminds us of the far East a his nature.
The high quality wood is woven together to create the classic drum shape of the lamp. It's reinforced by two metal circles, which projects the light not only towards the floor, but also towards the ceiling. The light bulb is hidden in a small cylinder treated with acid which creates this atmospheric diffused light.
Designer Ferran Freixa was the first winner of the Golden Delta ADI-FAD award in Spain (1961) with this pendant.
